The Story of Big Marv
Big Marv’s Legacy was created to honor the life of Big Marv, a 3.5 lb special needs chihuahua with a combined social media following of almost half a million people. His unintended social media platform has allowed him to capture hearts and enter the homes of many, over the last 2 years. Unable to stand or walk on his own, he inspired many to exceed what we imagine possible with physical limitations. To honor what Big Marv started, we have set out to help animals in shelters, animals living on the street with their human companions and continue to educate about therapies available for special needs animals, post surgery therapies, etc. Through this outreach, we have expanded to helping provide much needed supplies to the unhoused population in our community by making warm meals, offering animal care supplies (such as flea meds, heartworm treatment, toys and food) and handing out backpacks with items like socks, toiletries, flashlights, wipes, first aid kits and more.
